Rules to follow for your signature to be valid

An invalid signature is a lost signature. These rules are simple but absolute.

Same municipality on the entire sheet

All signatories on the same sheet must be registered in the same municipality. Do not mix municipalities.

Everything by hand

Last name, first name, date of birth and signature must be written by hand, in ink. No printing, no stamps.

Swiss citizens of voting age only

Only Swiss nationals aged 18 or over who are registered on the electoral roll of their municipality may sign.

Only once

Signing twice — even on two different sheets — invalidates both signatures. One signature per person.

After official publication

No signature collected before publication in the Federal Gazette is valid. The date appears on each sheet.

Return before the deadline

Sheets must reach us early enough for us to send them to the municipalities for attestation. Plan ahead.

The initiative committee responds to all enquiries within 48 hours.
